Story of an Hour

wow this story had an interesting ironic twist to it. After Mrs. Mallard whispered "free, free, free' the first idea that came to my mind was that she was unhappy with her husband and now that he's gone she's happy, happy she got her freedom. But because she was in the room by herself noone knew how she really felt. and because she passed away noone ill ever know the truth. I wonder if Brently felt the way Mrs. Mallard felt too??

  1. Yes, she did experience some exhilaration at her new found freedom--but let's not overlook the story's complexities, the protagonist's internal conflict, and the way the story's imagery reveals Mrs. Mallard's growing self-realization--where she's been, where she may be going...
